Arrival and transfer to hotel
Welcome at the airport, transfer and overnight at the hotel in Marrakech. Settle in and prepare for the start of your desert adventure.
Marrakech - Tichka Pass - Ouarzazate - Zagora - Elfaija (440km)
Departure from Marrakech and crossing of the magnificent Tichka Pass. Passage through Ouarzazate and Zagora before arriving at Elfaija for the first approach to the desert.
Plateau Elfaija - Jbel Bani - Col Oum Laachar - Oued Lemhasser - 5h30 walk - Camp
First day of desert hiking. Cross the Elfaija plateau, discover Jbel Bani and the Oum Laachar pass before arriving at Oued Lemhasser for the night in camp.
Oued Lemhasser - Dunes de Chegaga - Bivouac at the foot of the dunes - 6h walk
Memorable day to the magnificent Chegaga dunes. Arrive at the foot of the dunes for an unforgettable bivouac and spectacular sunset.

Hike to the Oued Naam dunes. Experience nomadic life and discover desert survival techniques.
Oued Naam - Dunes de Mhamid fin - Zagora - Hotel - 3h walk then transfer to Marrakech
Last morning of hiking to the Mhamid dunes. Return to civilization and transfer to Zagora then Marrakech. Check-in at your hotel and evening at leisure.

Frequently asked questions
This is an easy hike. Walking days vary from 3 to 6 hours in the desert. Elevation changes are generally slight. Accessible to anyone in good general physical condition, even with no previous experience of desert hiking.
We use a camel team with dromedaries to carry luggage and supplies to the bivouac each evening. You carry only your day backpack on the treks.
The best season for this tour is from October to May. Temperatures are pleasant during the day and cool at night. Summer should be avoided, as temperatures can be extremely high in the desert.
Full board is provided throughout the tour. Meals are prepared by our team and include Moroccan specialties. Most lunches are picnics, and dinners are prepared at the bivouac. Special diets can be catered for on request.
